Everest conqueror urged to prevent the mountain from becoming a garbage dump

American mountain guide, Garrett Maddison, 44, told Reuters that the upper mountain camps on Mount Everest were littered with all kinds of debris. After his 13th ascent of Earth’s highest mountain, the extreme climber called for a way to find a way to clear the summit of debris.

Maddison says that at the moment one can find tattered tents, food wrappers and emptied oxygen tanks left behind by climbers on the peak. According to the guide, a proper policy should be introduced whereby every climber will be required to take their own trash with them.
