The construction of The Line skyscraper in 2022 has been approved by a Saudi Arabian prince. It will be the largest in history, the most environmentally friendly on the planet, and carbon-free. From 5 to 9 million residents will be able to live there.
“Horizontal skyscraper” 170 kilometers long, 200 meters wide and 500 meters high – a kind of city that is being built on the shore of the Red Sea, in the administrative district of Tabuk. The structure will connect the body of water with the capital of the district. According to calculations, it will take approximately 50 years to realize the grandiose plan.
It is planned to build a whole metropolis with its own pharmacies, medical and educational institutions. It will be surrounded by a 0.5 km high wall, and there will be no roads, hence no cars. A high-speed train will run on one of the lower levels. Inside there will be a stadium, and on the shore – a marina.
